Which brings us to…
… Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark, who was left without his battery at the end of Iron Man 3. Adding this with the fact that Robert Downey Jr. is one expensive guy, we had all the reasons to think that he will be the one to be sent off. Of course, we knew that he already signed for Avengers 3, but this didn’t mean that he couldn’t be just a hologram or something like that. And then the news broke that he will get $40 million and some unspecified percent from Captain America: Civil War. So, ultimately, he won’t die in Avengers: Age of Ultron
Thor
There was no way that Thor would meet his demise at the metallic hand of Ultron. No rumors appeared, let alone news (plus, the success of Thor: The Dark World was swiftly followed by the announcement of Thor 3).
